Got to love Russia’s attitude on this. The ISS was designed with a solution when decommissioning came around, fly the entire station down in a controlled burn. Now they want to pull off their components and keep them in space, leaving the ISS without propulsion and saying that it’s NASA’s problem to dispose of the station.

I’m from Hermiston. The sign reads something like 18k but if you include the area surrounding it’s more like 40-50k. Tight urban areas always throw projected size off when comparing to a more agricultural area where everyone lives just outside it.
Back when I was a kid I had to cut firewood all the time. We only had a wood stove. Most of our wood was Black Locus, which is actually considered a good burning wood. However, it doesn’t really split cleanly so much as it tears and shreds when you take an axe to it. That and the pitch all over it.
I always have something to do… but my real work comes in batches. About half the time I am just working along, the other half I am racing to get something done.
