I think it is stupid that inoculations are not already mandatory. Refusing vaccination is the biological equivalent of walking around with a bomb strapped to your chest. It’s not just dangerous to you alone, but society as a whole. I may have a very libertarian viewpoint on most things but this would not be one of them.

Herd immunity. Even though you get the shots you can still be susceptible to the disease. Vaccination is not 100%. By others not getting their shots your possible exposure and infection rate rises.

The article was BBC, but you can still get religious wavers (or go to a private school) and such in the US I believe. Then you have celebrities like Oprah and her guests talk about the dangers of vaccination (debunked). If you are that susceptible to a little shot you have much bigger concerns.
